Tri-partite form with inset beveled glass top over sophisticated "Black Pearl" metalized finish, appears to be over an antiqued brass base plating, likely on top of either steel or stainless steel. Three casters.

Excellent original condition, with minimal light scratches to glass, very minimal early aging to metal base. This item is likely an original prototype, ex-High Point Showroom, and may be the actual item shown in the catalog photgraph. Acquired from former Baker sales executive, purchased and removed from Baker Grand Rapids factory while in training, 1986.

As seen at right in a drawing from the original 1984 media kit, Saladino's original design was intended to have a second, lower tier shelf. It ultimately proved impractical in production, and was not offered. There were several other configurations of this table offered in the Facade collection that did include the second shelf in production, including a similarly scaled square lamp table (#5556), a square cocktail table (#5552), and a rectangular console table (#5563).
