Five drawer dresser in Finnish birch veneers.  Graduated drawers with dust panel between each drawer. Highly architectural form with strong horizontal features. Included are shaped drawer pulls in birch with polished aluminum accents creating a noticeable visual space to the rear of the drawer pull. Horizontal reveal at top conforming to sides, short cantilever to rear top.  Recessed walnut base creates floating appearance.

Flexible Home Arrangements was a landmark collection, significantly influencing the lexicon of American production furniture.  Produced in Grand Rapids by premium manufacturer Johnson Furniture, many items in the collection include a dimension at 20”W by 30”H, thus creating maximum flexibility in home design by combining multiple pieces into one configuration. Our cabinet maintains the 20”D and the flexibility of the collection as shown in this 1939 catalog photo.
